MONDAY - 10-17-11

We went over the homework question by watching the following video:



Then today we started to identify how and why the framers distributed power in the U.S. Constitution.

START UP - Page 46
For some of you this will be the THIRD time in four years studying The U.S. Constitution. Based on what you remember (or don't remember) from 8th and 9th grade, answer the following two Type 1 questions:

What worries you about looking at The Constitution this week? What do you hope to gain or learn by revisiting this document? (6 lines)

ACTIVITY - Page 47
Complete the following outline of The Constitution using the word bank found at the bottom of the outline. Tape it on page 47.


REFLECTION
Complete the following reading and reflect on the true story and how that ties to the U.S. Constitution.
ANSWER: 1. Where in the Constitution does Lopez claim his rights are protected? [2 correct answers from page 47 outline]
2. If you were his lawyer, how might you argue his constitutional rights were violated? [1+ evidence from the reading]
