Google Documents – CHALLENGE 1
- Sign into your gmail account.
- Click on: Documents in the top left selection of tabs.
- Click on the orange “Create” box
- Select Document
- Click on "Untitled Document"
-
Title your document as follows (use hyphens & plug in your info):    ___ Period  -American Dream Interview - Draft 1 - Your Name

Now you are ready to type your interview. Your document will be saved to your email account 

WHEN YOU ARE DONE TYPING
1. Proofread your document:
-   Correct anything underlined in green and red
-   Read out loud – 1 foot voice - Have you followed all FCA’s?
-   Make needed corrections
-   Proofread a second time – 1-foot voice. Does it flow? Make sense?
-   Make any needed changes and read it through one more time.

2.  Click on “share”
3. Type my email address in the “Add people” box: fiorinicivics@gmail.com
4. Make sure it says that I “Can Edit” (this should be automatic, but double check)
5. Click “Done”
*** If you have 5-15 minutes left in class, do the following:
- Use color to enhance your interview
                        - Share your document with a classmate
                          and ask for feedback (comments)



Google Documents – CHALLENGE 2 – Read through entire challenge before beginning
1. Open your American Dream Interview Document.
2. Find one or two other people you can share your document with.
3. Click on “Share” and type in their email address(es).
4. Once you’ve received their document, read it through once (keep FCA’s in mind).
5. Read it one more time and make 5 + comments
-  comments can point out areas that make the paper strong, anything you think needs to be changed, or ask questions.

 - (To comment: Highlight the word, sentence, terms…whatever 
    you want…and then click on “insert”, which is located on 
    the tool bar right below your title.)
 - (Type what you want to say/ask and click on comment.)

NOTE: If you are waiting to receive comments back from someone…remember…your document is live. So go ahead and do the following.

1.     Insert an image that enhances your interview
2.     Insert a link to a site that ties to your interview or the 
        American Dream.
