Today we focused on one source of the US government's power - coercion. We focused on Georgia's execution of Troy Davis, which occurred last night and was protested all over the world.
The objective was to figure out and explain whether or not you believe the government should have the power to execute.

ACTIVITY - Page 17 - Notes
We read an article about Troy Davis' from the news source Aljazeera and we recorded information this article shared with us on page 17.
We then watched a video on CNN's blog that was following the proceedings surrounding Troy Davis' planned education. The video is titled, MacPhail's Mom: I'm waiting on the call (2nd video down from the top). We recorded information given from the viewpoint of the murder victim's family.
